If my recent entries on this blog have been focused on desktop audio processing, it's because I've had to put together a radio ad for our music learning center.

As you already know, I used mplayer to extract audio from the video file and Audacity to mix the voice and background music.
Other interesting details from this experience: I used a Nokia N70 and a Canon Powershot A540 to record the video. Between the two, the N70 had the superior recording capability. The N70's output was in MP4, and produced a stereo audio channel as opposed to the Powershot's mono. Really neat, actually.
